Book any dining or stargazing experience at Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat from 1 May until 30 June 2024 and you will automatically go in the draw to win one night’s accommodation for two people in the prestigious Ashley Mackenzie Villa.

The experiences can be viewed and booked via the Dine or Stargazing pages on our website.

The Ashley Mackenzie Villa overlooks Lake Pukaki and provides an unparalleled view of Aoraki Mount Cook. It includes private access to the Fantail Spa which includes a sauna, outdoor hot tub, massage room and workout room.

Terms and Conditions

• The competition is open to day visitors and overnight guests (18 years and over).
• The dining experiences include Mother’s Day High Tea, Royal High Tea and the Chef’s Tasting Menu. The stargazing experiences include Dusk to Dark Stargazing, Billion Star Dining, Astrophotography and Dark Sky Stargazing.
• The promotional period runs from Wednesday 1 May to Sunday 30 June 2024.
• The experiences allow one entry per person per booking, with the exception of Billion Star Dining. This allows two entries per person per booking as the experience includes dining and stargazing.
• Entries are subject to contact details being provided.
• Entry into the prize draw will only be granted once all experience costs have been covered.
• The prize is for one night’s accommodation in the Ashley Mackenzie Villa for two people including dinner and breakfast.
• Guests who stay at Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat during the promotional period will automatically receive one entry per person for every night of their stay. This inclusion covers Moraine Lodge and Villa dining. Any additional dining or stargazing experiences will result in another entry into the draw for every paying guest. Breakfast provisions do not result in an entry into the draw.
• The prize draw winner will be randomly selected on Monday 1 July at the Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat Office. The winner will be notified thereafter via the contact details provided.
• If the winner cannot be reached within 48 hours, the winner will forfeit the prize and a redraw will take place.
• Any additional costs not covered by prize inclusions such as but not limited to airport and transfer costs, must be met by the prize winner.
• The prize must be redeemed by 30 September 2024. If the Ashley Mackenzie Villa is not available during this period, another timeframe will become available to the winner.
• The prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable.
• Massages are not included in the prize but can be organised on behalf of the winner, at their cost.
• If the winner decides not to proceed with the prize or is unable to claim the prize, the prize will be redrawn the following business day.
• The competition cannot be entered into by Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat employees and their immediate families.
• Following acceptance, the winner will be acknowledged on the Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat Facebook and Instagram pages. Their name may be abbreviated for privacy purposes.
• Information collated will be held in accordance with our legal obligations including under the Privacy Act 2020.
• Decisions regarding the competition by Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition at any time.
