Dine on fine cuisine prepared by the estate’s private chefs and enjoy a cooking demonstration by our culinary team. Join chef in the Moraine Lodge kitchen for a unique cooking class focused on the creation of a ‘Tastes of Nature’ two-course meal based on seasonal herbs and plants. Afterward, linger over a truly fresh, nutritious and delicious lunch.

During the experience, wine pairing suggestions (wine not included) from our carefully curated wine cellar are presented to you.

Stay in one of our Lakeside Villas overlooking Aoraki Mt Cook and Lake Pukaki, or Moraine Villas, overlooking the magnificent Ben Ohau ranges and the tawny landscape of the Mackenzie Country.

Our villas feature luxurious interiors, open fireplaces and private outdoor hot tubs filled by the estate’s fresh artesian water.

  • Two nights’ accommodation in the luxury villa of your choice, each with large windows looking out to the views, french doors from each room to the patio, combined with a cozy open fire in the lounge for you to lay back and enjoy
  • Early check-in and a private cooking demonstration on one day of your stay
  • Gourmet nibbles, palate cleanser, main and dessert with one bottle wine matched to meal each night
  • Gourmet picnic lunch (for middle day or day of departure)
  • Private hot tub filled with water drawn from our artesian well

Terms and Conditions

Contact us directly by phone or email to book this package. The above inclusions are in the standard package, but upgrades and additions are available upon enquiry.

Does not apply to existing bookings, may not be used in conjunction with another package. Based on availability.

Payment Policy

A valid credit card is required at the time of booking to secure the booking.

The person making booking must be over 18 years of age.

Unless otherwise stated, a one-night deposit will be charged to your card on booking confirmation.

The balance of your stay is payable on arrival.

We accept payments in New Zealand dollars by MasterCard or Visa, Direct Debit or Cash.

Your credit card payment will be made via WindCave and an invoice / receipt will emailed to the email address you provide.    

Cancellation Policy

As a small lodge with only three villas our cancellation policy is rather strict.

Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to arrival will incur a charge of the first night’s accommodation. After that and in the case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. Bookings are non-refundable for any unused nights.

If you are unable to travel to the Retreat because of Government COVID-19 restrictions, we are happy to postpone your stay and transfer your deposit to another date or booking.

We highly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance to guard against these charges.

Child Policy

Children are welcome at the Retreat, please be aware the Retreat is a rural environment with natural tarns and ponds, cliffs and forested areas.

Extra beds are available in Moraine Villas at a cost of $300 per night which includes dinner and breakfast provisions.
